Personal data that we process

The Jane Company processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide the data to us yourself. This data is used to perform our services and to ensure the financial settlement is handled correctly. When storing and retaining privacy-sensitive and personal information, The Jane Company follows the professional code of the International Coaches Federation (ICF).

Personal data that we process (may where applicable) include: first name, surname, gender, date of birth, address details, telephone number, e-mail address, bank account number and other personal data that you actively provide, for example, in correspondence and by telephone.

Special and/or sensitive personal data that we process

The Jane Company processes any special and/or sensitive personal data from you for the purpose of performing our services. These can consist of file notes, meeting reports and correspondence. We only record what is important for the process to be followed and only for internal use. This information is of course treated as highly confidential.

For what purpose and on what basis we process personal data

The Jane Company processes your personal data for the following purposes:
Processing basis for the performance of an agreement:

  • To be able to call or e-mail you if this is necessary to perform our services
  • To inform you about changes to our services
  • Handling your payment

Processing basis for legitimate interest:

  • To be able to perform our services

Processing basis consent for the processing of your personal data for one or more specific purposes:

  • To be able to perform our services

Processing basis to comply with a statutory obligation:

  • The Jane Company also processes personal data if we are obliged to do so by law, such as data that we need for our tax return.

Automated decision making

The Jane Company does not make decisions based on automated processing on matters that can have (significant) consequences for people. These are decisions taken by computer programs or systems, without involving a person (for example, an employee of The Jane Company).

How long we retain personal data

The Jane Company does not retain your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. This may be laid down by law and depends on the purpose for which the data is processed. Special personal data collected during a process will be retained for up to 2 years after the process has ended. 

Sharing personal data with third parties

The Jane Company does not share or sell your data to third parties and will only provide it if this is necessary for the performance of our agreement with you or to comply with a statutory obligation. We conclude a processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. The Jane Company remains responsible for these processing operations.

Cookies, or similar techniques, that we use

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on the device you use to visit this website when you first visit a website. The Jane Company only uses technical and functional cookies. These ensure that the website works properly. You can opt out of cookies by setting your Internet browser so that it no longer stores cookies. In addition, you can also delete all information previously saved via the settings of your browser.

Inspecting, modifying or deleting data

You have the right to inspect, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by The Jane Company and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or another organisation indicated by you.

To ensure that the request for inspection has been made by you, we ask you to enclose a copy of your proof of identity with the request. In this copy, please black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and citizen service number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but within six weeks.

The Jane Company takes the protection of your data very seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification.
